Okay guys, now unfortunately I must ask how you can find out the ESN for the radio. I called the dealership and they told me to call the VW customer care line; I called them and they told me to call the dealership! Just a dirty runaround 
Anyway, I've google-searched the hell out of this, and searched every VW forum I can find (including this one), and I can't find the info. If there's a button sequence to press or something, please let me know!
