The place I got mine from said it was hard to find the GTI because they aren't making many of the 2-door models anymore, because they are going to come out with the new 4-door models here in the U.S. soon.

News to me about not making the 2 doors anymore. I would think there is just as much of a demand if not more for the 2 door than the 4 door.

Well,

I'm from South AFrica, and there is seriously a 6 month waiting list, spoken to 3 different dealers around the country and no one can get one sooner, they all have like 6 - 7 people in the queue and expected deliveries of 1 a month.

But I met someone today that worked for VW headoffice and he is going to see what he can do,

If I hold thumbs, it means hoping for the best, we actually hold thumbs between our fingers like any good instructor will teach you not to punch otherwise you would break them, and thats where the expression comes from
