I just got my ride last week. My car came with XM satelite radio.. but i cant seem to activate it or get it to function properly.. anything that Im doing incorrectly? I mean i know how it works.. but my manual did not come with any material covering this specific information such as serial # etc...

Never-mind I figured it out.. for some reason channel 0 was not coming in (which gives you the radio ID # used for activation). After messing with it for some time I was able to get it. That kind of sucks that I was not given a 3-month free trial subscription to XM radio. oh well..

hey just to give you alittle headsup about xm. If you call them and threaten to switch to sirius they will drop the price per month to like 3.99. I work with 3 or 4 people who have had theres dropped to that. Sirius is really hurting xm so they are trying there best to keep people on. Hope this works for you as it has for them.

Hehe, Yeah I have been using that Social Engineering technique with my broadband carrier for a while now. threaten to switch to DSL lol, but it stops working after a while. LOL

Anyway, I just activated my XM radio.. they waived the activation charge and got 3 months free.

Now i could listen to the Barkleys Cup XM radio stream live over the web when im at work at my cubicle. LOL!

I made the dealer activate it. I think if you scan down from channel 1 you get the radio ID.

Thanks clavos for the help. I didnt see your post till now. Did you have them activate it the day you got your car?
