Yesterday my Guitar arrived. VERY COOL! It even has my FAST's VIN on the Head.

Yet, it's a bittersweet moment. I am dying to play it but my left hand is broken and in a cast at the moment. :'(

but the cool part is I can use it for Physical Therapy to get my fingers working again. My FAST not just lifts my spirits, it gets me Physical Therapy too! 8)

I should post a pic of the guitar plugged into my FAST.

I do have a question for you though, is yours color matched to your FAST? I was told by the dealership that it would be but mine is not (white guitar ... black FAST). Boxes have all been checked/x'd as being black.

yes, mine is color matched and the VIN is correct too. Sounds like someone screwed up. You should send it back and get the correct guitar

huh? just use a regular cord and jack into a regular amp. They ship the non-standard cord so you can plug it into the AUX in the card

I just realized I left the dealership yesterday without a guitar. Was he supposed to order one for me or what? We didn't even talk about it when I picked up the GTI.

I don't have an amp yet, but they are easy to get out here. Want the right guitar before I go out and get an amp.

My dealer said to allow 6 weeks for delivery of the guitar (it took the full 6). I'm not sure if they have to put an "order" in for one or if it's done on auto pilot.

I read somewhere (ad or online) that the guitar promo will expire Dec. 31, '06. Can't help but wonder what the next promo will be.

Or better yet, how many can actually play? I liked the mountain bike offer better.

I don't play but my better 1/2 does. I get the FAST, he gets the guitar. Good deal for me!

Called VW and was told I had gotten the wrong color and to send the guitar back at VW's expense (return shipping label was included with the guitar).

FED-EX will be here tomorrow to pick it up.

VW noted the problem on my account and will be shipping the correct guitar.

On a side note, I have read that VW customer service is difficult and I found this to be false. They seemed rather upset about the whole situation and were very helpful.

i wish i had the option of plugging a guitar into my GTi. i hate lugging my amplifier around all the time and honestly i would probably just use the cars sound system instead if i could hah.

The effect pedals? Yeah, they connect like this:

Guitar-----> Effect Pedals-----> Amp

Just instead of an amp, it's a car now 8)

Congrats butterfly! I think my dealer either screwed me or were just unaware of the other things you can get with you fast!! I didn't get a FAST figurine or a guitar... I already have a guitar but I'd like to mount my color matched VW guitar up on a wall or something... Anyway, be sure to post up a pic of your fast and your axe!!

question about that...are they still doing that if you buy a 2007 GTi? i wanted to buy the GTi before the year ended (2006) but wasnt able to. are they still doing that??
