Well done, zulu, well done. I go back and forth on whether I like the Black Magic or United Grey more. Your UG makes one hell of a compelling argument.
It's the only way to roll. Spend a lot more time behind the wheel than cleaning it as you would with black paint. I have done that before. Looks good clean but you get dust on it and it's over.
Couldn't agree more, zulu. I love the whole Darth Car look of my Black Magic, but it only looks pure for a couple of days before dust begins to accumulate. Plus any dings show up starkly compared to the UG. It's going to force me to invest close to another 1k in the 3M covering for the front of my car.
I like the black magic more than other types of black paint. It actually doesn't look too bad when it's dusty. I've seen much worse on cars with pure black gloss as opposed to the black pearly type of paint that is black magic.
I still plan on painting it spiderman colors in a couple of years, like so:
I love that color, it looks great on the GLI and would look even better on the GTI. It reminds me of the BMW Monaco Blue that you see on a lot of M3's.
O0 Real nice! I just ordered my 2008 UG with 18 in Hufs..... dealer promised me it would be in by 6 weeks.... can't wait.... are you planning any mods? thumpthumpthump
