I have a really cool pair of sunglasses that go with my black GTI, they are the Oakley Fives 3.0 - black with a red O on each side. I didn't plan it, I've had the sunglasses awhile before getting my GTI, but thought it was pretty cool. Anyway, I thought maybe someone might be interested in something like that. You can pick from a bunch of different styles/colors on their website.

I work at an eye doctor's office and me and the optician are cool. I have a pair of Oakley Gascan. I didn't wear them much since I hate contact lenses and I'm in love with my prescription glasses (they happen to be Oakley's too). The optician made me some lenses for free. Now I love them. :D

I want to get some prescription lenses placed in them from the actual Oakley manufacturer. Polarized and everything.

I had to ditch a pair of polarized lenses because I felt like I was on an acid trip every time I drove my car. I don't know if the tinting in my Toyota had some sort of polarization or what, but it did NOT work well with the polarized shades.

Okay, I might just know this because I work at an optometrist office, (and please correct me anyone if I'm wrong, because I don't want to give out wrong information) but if you ever hold to polarized lenses one right in front on each other, then you should be able to see clearly. Now hold one horizontal and one vertical and you can't see through it or barely. Polarized lenses help block lights coming it a weird angles. So when you get in a car (most cars have UV protection on their windows or the tint has some sort of polarization) you get weird colors when you look out your windows, like rainbow-ish colors. Some people don't take well to this, hence the headaches or dizziness. I like them, but you're not the only one with the headache with polarized lenses problem.

The GTI does come standard with a light blueish hue tint. It's supposed to block UV rays.

I've kinda given up on sunglasses...after owning 3 pairs of Oakley's some Rayban's and pricier designer shades...well I haven't found any worth their price...every pair...all 6 have had the lenses pop out. I baby my glasses too, with special holders and cloth softer than silk, and they still pop out another problem I've had with every pair even though I treat those glasses better than most people are treated is they somehow scratch, I've never dropped my glasses when they aren't on my face they are protected, so what I'm getting at is does anyone know of any glasses that are worth $350? I need something that are scratch resistant (all my Oakley's said they were scratch resistant to some degree) but I mean true scratch protection and something that lasts more than say 6 months...it sucks driving at 85 mph in bright sun and having your lenses pop out...lol

Like I said earlier, look into a pair of Maui Jim's. They are pricy, but I've had them for two whole years, and they still don't have any kind of scratches. They are super light weight and the lenses cannot pop out because of the design. http://www.mauijim.com/mjweb/public...FRAMESTYLEID=506&WS943IMAGENAME=LFG506-02.jpg
They cost as much as those designer ones, but the designer glasses are made by people who make nice clothes, not nice sunglasses. IMO, these Maui Jim's are the highest quality sunglasses available.
