Hi,

I have a 01' Gti VR6, (got it last week) everything is fine with it. But i noticed something with the shift lever, when i have it in neutral and move it left to right, (check for neutral) it tends to stick to the right or left instead of springing back to the center. It usually does this after i've been driving for a little while. The first few minutes it springs back to center no problem. Its not too big of a problem because it springs back when i put a little pressure on it, but it kinda bugs me. I'm not too savvy with manual transmissions so i only assume it could have something to do with lube....

some pointer please guys, [drive]

I think he meant to adjust your shift linkage. Everybody has seen this video.

That wouldn't be a linkage issue because the spring on the side of the shifter is what is made to return the shifter back to center, not the shifter cables. I believe you posted this on Vortex and I replied in there.
