When I bought my car it was one that they had on the lot already so it had some test drive miles on it, I think like 70 or somthing anyway.. Im at a dub show this weekend with the car club I belong to and I see another MK5 role in and his car looks a tad lower then mine so I moesy on over and ask what springs he went with and he said it was stock height (trust me it was lower then mine) so we walk back to my car and my dealer never took the "Spring Spacers" out from in between the coils on the springs so it was riding on them for the 7grr that I have on it now making my car look like a Toureg!

So what Im saying is check to make sure that you dont still have them on your whip. If there still on there you can look under your fender and you will see them you have to jack the car up to take the tension out of the spring and they will just pop off but Ive been told that your not supposed to drive with them on.

I'd be returning those to the dealership and requesting they pay you off in something or else you're going to let VW of America know about the delivery and preparation of your car through their dealership.

I can only imagine the people that test drove that car and what they thought. BMW used to ship their cars with the same blocks in them and man did they drive funny.

Glad you caught it! Enjoy

Whoever prepped my car left the little plastic film on the chrome VW logo on the engine cover. I found it melted when I filled my washer fluid a few weeks ago. I told the dealership and at first the sales manager was being kind of a dick about it, but after talking to the maintanence manager and the GM I got a new engine cover.
