i had the smae problem, went to the dealer, and they were straight ass holes to me. its 5 minutes of work to tunr that light off (including driving up to the computer, plugging in, resetting, unplugging and backing up) and they wanted to charge me for it....
here's the solution
to reset your service indactor without VAG-Com or the dealer:
without the key in the ignition, hold the 0.0 button down 3-5 seconds
holding the 0.0 button down still, insert the key and turn forward (do not turn car on)
release 0.0 button (should say service now at this point)
then hold the m button for a couple seconds
