That bot not only sent that message to every user (I got it too, so I'm assuming it did), but it also posted that message 39 times in various different sections of the forum. I spent about 15 minutes deleting every single post.

Taken care of. Wasn't a bot, It was an actual person. Looks like he tried to register 3 diff user names. banned his IP but may have to ban the range. I took over his account and forwarded the information to AOL, who is, (or after they get the info, "was") his internet provider. They will probably not be so nice. If you get anymore spam, PM me immediately.

That actually kind of amusing tale is exactly the reason I'd recommend you NOT click on links that someone you don't know sends to you. Beyond the risk of possible permanent retinal damage and emotional scarring that may take tens of thousands of dollars to repair, there's also the posibility of allowing malicious code onto your machine. Plus, these jerks are most likely getting paid for those click-throughs, so let's not support their "business."
