Re: Dealer stickers!

Just take it to the dealer and tell them you don't advertise for free and they'll take it off. They have this rubber drill bit thing that they attach to a drill that peels it off.

I told my salesman I wouldn't sign til they took it off. No license plate frames either.

Word of mouth is the best advertising anyway.

My dealer is cool. I hadn't even thought about the Dealer's decals or license plate frames because I was so stoked on getting the GTI. But later I realized... they didn't try to advertise on my car. I was happy.

Whats the best way to get the dealer sticker and the associated adhesive off my GTI?!?
Heat gun or a hair dryer. Once the decal is warmed up it should peel off easily. The adhesive should be able to be rubbed off with your finger (don't use your nails).

If you can't rub it off, I'd suggest using either mineral spirits or goof off.

Make sure after you remove the decal- clean the area with soap and water and then wax the area when done.

Goof off is some powerfull stuff...but it will eat paint. Id stick with the goo gone. Not as powerfull, but it wont destroy the paint.

If it's wiped off immediately- it will not usually damaged paint.
