My name is Jake, im pretty new with performance mods. I have an 09 MKV GTI. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start? I would like to eventually bring my car to Stage 2 (modification wise). Any help would be much appreciated.

in order:
intake
giac pump perf. tune
down-pipe
rear sway-bar and suspension
the rest of the extra bits you want
Get a downpipe and go straight to stage 2. You won't regret it.

09's have the TSI, and those really don't need a catch can. The stock PCV system is fine.

Sorry, whats a catch can?

Its a "can" that "catches" the oil, water, and nasty stuff your engine trows away by the pcv valve. That stuff recirculates to the intake (for emisions purposes). In Direct injection engines the fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber, so the fuel never pases though the intake valves, and thus never "wash" them.
Or something like that...
