Puffs of smoke

Hi guys while driving my MK5 gti 2008 Fsi ive bein getting puffs of white blue ish smoke on acceleration not all the time also I can smell burnt oil can it be the valve cover ive read a lot about the cover coming apart on the inside and letting oil run thru the breather tube which burns off in the turbo. no oil leaks discovered around the turbo or the valve cover burning around 1 qt per thousand any help with this thx
