Has anyone had any experience with progressive lowering springs. My room mate a couple years ago put them on his Trans AM and they made the ride more gentle at low/normal driving speeds, but when he took turns like he was on a track the car seemed to tighten up. He was also able to lower his car about 1" with them too.

I thought I'd ask since no one has mentioned them in the suspension sections.

You can expect something similar to your friend's Trans AM; it's the whole idea behind progressive rate springs. I don't know about any others, but the Neuspeed Sport Springs are progressive. You may feel some difference during normal cruising, although it won't be as much of a pain as stiffer linear rate springs. But you'll definitely appreciate the increased load rate when you plug your GTI into a hard turn.
