To check the pcv...you just need to partially pull out the dipstick and if the idle gets rough, then the pcv is OK.
The cold shouldn't have anything to do with limp mode.
Since it keeps going into limp mode....I suggest you stop driving it until you check the cam follower. Because along with those codes I believe you'll find that it is the cam follower that has worn through. And, unfortunately, by the time it throws a code it has damaged the intake cam as well. But I hope I'm wrong for your sake ;)

Get back if it gets fixed, because the other issue may be the pressure sensor.
