Since the MkVI doesn't have those door sill strips that say GTI on them like my MkV did (it's just bare), I'm looking to get something cool. If not a GTI door sill (recommendations?), then this has my fancy:

Thinking of getting them in the spring. Just curious if anyone else has 'em, or can answer for me why there are six pieces? ie: I assume the two shorter pieces in the picture are for the rear doors, the longer ones for the front doors but what are the two really long pieces for?

even though the diy is for a mkiv im sure you could do something like this on a mkvi. And if you are interested in carbon you could always just put some of that dinoc carbon wrap over the metal. Quite a few less dollars than 300.

honestly why dont you just grab another set of sills, CF wrap em, through on a gti sticker n clear it.
