anyone know why the second ohh shi* handle is so far away, kind of defeats the purpose as you will most likely slam your head against the dash...haha but it was funny to see in the video

Frankly speaking, I don't think those bars are for the driver, if you know what I mean. ^_^

If you check on the top side of the drivers seat, there are Oh Shit handles as well. will you ever use them? The world may never know...

I really don't think they were intentionally designed as handles.

Unless Germans have either really long arms, or really short torsos...

At my dealership they gave me this promotional DVD about the GTI that talks about all the features in-between a mock documentary about how they created the "fast" and in it they specifically talk about the ohh shi* handles and call them that by name.
