Ask yourself what you would say if someone came to you and said they spent 50-60$ on a keychain. Personally, I don't even put my car key on a keychain. I don't want anything clanging, hitting me, or the steering column.

The keychain I'm currently using is still the one I got with my first car ('88 Jetta) when I was 16 (9 yrs ago). It says "Central Interior" something on it, the letters are hard to make out. It also says "Prince George, B.C." on it, which I think is where the guy I bought it from was from. They were my first set of keys for anything other than house keys, so I attached my house keys to that keychain, couple years later I got a '97 Jetta and attached those keys to it, now my fancy futuristic switchblade remote key is attached to it. It's one of those double keychains that can be separated in the middle, so if I want to leave my car keys at the shop I just detach that keyring and hold on to the house/other key ring.

but i think it is wayyyy to much. does anyone know where these originated (this item says it was from a vw conference for employees, but i dont know if that is true) and how i could get one without paying a rediculous amount of money
Yep, it's true. It was given to vw salespeople who completed the "fast thinker" competition. The video of me driving the GTI in a parking lot track was from one of these competitions. According to VW, This will not be sold commercially and was only given to participants. There are probably 2-3000 out there, but are normally harder to come by than a real fast. Unless VW decides to sell them at a later date, these will probably become more valuable than a real fast. (Most sales people used them, or has already lost them) A new in the box fast keychain could become a hot collectable within the next few years.

YEA YEA YEA $30 FOR A KEYCHAIN I KNOW LET THE FLOGGING BEGIN. IT WILL BE ONE OF THE THINKS TO SIT IN A BOX AND TAKE OUT ON RAINY DAYS
Does it atleast help you be Fast when you're not in your car? I can't help but think having a portable fast in my pocket would increase the speed that I move throughout my day.
