So, next BARF meet, we will have to park our 4doors next to each other and call the riders posers for not having a GTI ;D
Nice, nice. Taking the plate off the front makes it look a million times better. I was so thankful my dealership didn't install it but had me sign a waiver saying they offered and supplied me with the brackets. You will be amazed at how quick the miles pile up on it, especially with bay area commuting. I'm at 5500 already and I'm about to move to where I have to commute an 80 miles one way. :'( My poor GTI. But at least it will be fun as hell to commute. I didn't know that was possible.

Tint is in the plans, but I dodn't know about taking off the front plate: The Highway Patrol here is a lil overzealous in enforcing stuff like that... I'm trying to be "stealth" and avoid them...Thalo said:

mistyz23, I commute 70 miles to work every day (140 miles/day) until I move in June. It's definately very hard, but the only thing that makes it worth while is having my Fast. I got it specifically for this commute and it is such a great highway car (I had a GMC pickup before and got about 13 miles/gallon). Great gas mileage if you're not to hard on it. The only gripe I have is that I have about 30 small chips on my hood now, and one big one just above my drivers side headlight washer. Every time something hits my front end, I get furious !!
Aw man! How many miles have you racked up? I plan on KEEPING this car until I drive it into the ground, so I know it is a little stupid to be worried about the depreciation. But I still feel bad. :-\ I know where you are coming from for the gas mileage! I used to drive a 68 Camaro as my daily driver at a whopping 9 mpg. I am so spoiled now, even though some people are not thrilled with the gas mileage of the GTI. I have no complaints! I've only had it since November, though, so we are still in the honeymoon phase. :-*Ecoterragaia said:

Factory tint on the front, limo everything behind the driver... The CHP like to pull people over and cite them for front tinted windows and I don't wanna excuse for them to stop me unless they are handing out Krispy Kremes ;Dkryptonkid07 said:

That sucks about the not being able to tint the font windows. I live in texas and the legal limit is 25%. that in itself isn't bad at all.
It still looks good though. I'm thinking about getting the clear bra.
