I am going to lower my Gti an inch so that its not to low and i will get better handling not like the car needs it. I love to drive fast around the corners.
I like how you think >mkvkwik said:If your going to lower the car i would definately use the neuspeed sport sring kit , it will drop the car 1.2 f and 1.5 r,and the car will ride very nice. i have them and i,m very happy with the out come. Plus if they try to void any warranty on my car i,m prepared to sue vag, because if you read the book that come,s with your fast, you will find they encourage the buyer to make the gti AS "FAST, AND UNIQUE" AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that if you get the VW Euro spec springs and get them installed by a VW dealership, your warranty will be alright. It is, afterall, a VW part being installed by a "VW guy."schnell06 said:I was reading the warrenty booklet in our owner's manual and it specifically mentioned that if you lowerd the car or made any modification to the suspension that they would not honor the drivetrain warrenty. I dont know how much of that that they can actually get away with, but it is certainly something to take into consideration.
I was told that if you use the VW dealership to lower the car (bring whatever kit you want), that it will NOT void the warranty.schnell06 said:I was reading the warrenty booklet in our owner's manual and it specifically mentioned that if you lowerd the car or made any modification to the suspension that they would not honor the drivetrain warrenty.
