It really all depends on your needs and/or wants. I'm 6-3 so if I would have gotten a 4 door when I scoot the seat back to where I want it I'd be staring right at the seat belt or out the back window. But since I have a 2 door, The doors are really long and perfect for me. The only regret is when I have more than one friend with me, which is rare, and they have to scoot the seat forward to get in. I hope it all goes well with the new GTI, you'll love it.
