Has anyone heard of or had any experience with the Alpine LAT subs. The theory behind them looks incredible, but i cant immagine the real world sound they would produce. I was thinking about getting one for my GTI but they only come in 2 flavors: 250W truck box or 500W SUV box. Amp and all 6 subs are enclosed in the same small unit.

Any input on these?

well this has been around forever...I had two 12 inchers and yeah if someone bought eight 8 inchers then yeah they would have more punch than me all Alpine has done is just packaged it for you the downside is theres more to break I would always seem to blow one of my subs and it got annoying I couldnt imagine having 7+ subs to worry about.

I know this is an old thread, but this design seems to be a good one, kylmos is right about it being a pain if one goes, but then you shouldnt be blowing woofers if you are just careful with the volume.

Personally i think one well placed 10 inch sub is more than enough to rock out, but im almost 40 years old...so have at it if its your thing.
