Anybody have an opinion on replacing the stock filter with a K&N? Also, K&N dosn't list a filter for the MKV but does have a listing for the A3 with 2.0T. My fealing is that this should fit. Any opinions???

Thanks

:mad:AHHHHH... 33-2128 IS NOT the correct model number. It is indeed 33-2888. I bought the 2128 and CRACKED MY ENGINE COVER and it turned out to be the WRONG MODEL!

Now I have to special order the 2888 and wait until it comes before I can drive again because I refuse to try and put the cover back on and have to take it off again now that it's cracked!

*tear* I cracked my engine cover... :'(

Since mine is chipped, I guess the difference is so subtle, that I don't feel anything. However, my engine does make a very, very faint whistle now when in idle. I don't know what is causing this... LoL It's prolly not the K&N though. My past K&Ns have always performed well... at the very least, you won't have to touch the filter for like 75K miles or so...

Did this install 2 weeks ago. I consider myself handy and with the following DIY, it was cake. I have noticed smoother power delivery, but no neck snapping differences. But for 50 bucks, what do you expect.. ;D PM me with specific questions.. good luck

This is step one
