I think issues like the radio bring them down, and electronics in general. I have not heard of too many people on these boards with outright mechanical failures. I am waiting for the Consumer Report rating which should be out in the fall - they actually survey people who own these cars. Oh well, too late we already ordered our 2008 in April

i just got my JD power survey about my GTi in the mail, i've been giving it top notch so far, except i do wish that they would come out with a programming so that if you're using sat. radio, if the band name or song name is to long it doesnt scroll across the screen, i wish it would do that and i wish that they had taken the time on some programming so that it would display my ipod info also
