i heard from the grape vine that it is possible to swap out the gti turbo for a evo turbo, since its pretty much the same thing but bigger. would it work? im just wondering cause i think my turbo might blow some day...

It's possible, but I'd look at the K04 kit from APR.

well, found a totalled evo 8. and the guy will part with his turbo for pretty cheap think about 1000 or less. but OMG the ko4 just makes the gti a monster. thanks for the info
