My GTI is an 07 leased new in 07 and purchased when I couldn't give back my long awaited dream car after a few years. Greetings fellow V-Dubbers...
I never thought I would own a V-Dub until I drove my 2013 GTI while looking for a Prius.
Always pictured V-Dubs as wheezy, air-cooled basic transport until the GTI opened my eyes.
Bought it used from a dealer and it already had a cold-air intake. Don't know if it has had any other mods. The interior is perfect. I've put 10k miles on it since I bought it in April. The check engine light came on a couple months ago giving me all kinds of O2 sensor codes. Replaced the gas cap with new OEM cap and the engine light went off a couple days later.

Hey dallas guy 2015 gti ( no car play ) but still love my lil hotsnot bought it at 45k miles put 20k on it already no problems still stock 2nd vw so far not my last.

Hi All,

Just joined this community and hope to learn a lot from everyones' experience with their VW. I have a 2016 model VW Golf GTI MK7, purchased brand new in Q1 2018 from the VW dealership here in Manila. The car is currently all stock, with 5k kms on the odometer, but am planning to save-up for some performance/aesthetic upgrades in a year or two.

Welcome. Just to make sure it is the 4 cylinder turbo and not the 5 cylinder turbo. I know they came with a 2.5l and there is an aftermarket turbo kit for the 2.5.

Whats up everyone i just got a new to me 2002 vw gti 1.8t dsg. I am redoing this hole car inside n out. All my hoses are dryrotting n braking n when i was installing turbo back exshost i seen this part not mouted to anything does anyone kno what this here its the part with the hose to it n its sitting on the axle n downpipe. Please help

Hello. I have a 2007 four door with DSG. Bought new and now has 152k miles. Had to swap engine a couple years ago (timing belt did not get changed when it should have - uh oh) so has 2008 engine with about 90k miles on it. Runs like a top, as I have paid attention to all servicing (except timing belt mishap mentioned above- long story). I have the apparently ubiquitous AC problem with it, but really in fine shape otherwise. No longer a daily driver since I have another vehicle, but take it out for a spin for an easy smile often. Thinking about letting it go to a new home because I have my eye on a used Porsche Cayman. Guess I will post on the Buy/Sell section if anyone's interested.
