Well,
After my previous monster, I need to know this before I start going crazy. How well are the stock internals on this car? I had forged internals crower rods, ross racing pistons, cryotreated crank, fully sleeved block. So I could 30 Lbs of boost no problem.

How does the stock GTI motor handle, and do they offer internals that we can install and crank the boost higher without blowing it up?

i'd would have to say 22psi the most anything over that is pushing it. Unless you get a bigger turbo then that totally different story.
That is understandable, but do they make internals is my original question. I am considering rebuilding one of these engines from the ground up to see what they can do.

answer to your question. the stock valves are a two piece design stamped together. most people you talk to wont recommend pushing over 12 psi for long periods of time i went ahead and upgraded to these valves http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG=detail&PID=86227 there oversized sou your gonna have to make a new seat in the head but youll get a little more performance and it costs alot less then a stock valve breaking and doing some serious damage.
