How fast can a GTI reach to 60 Mp/h (100 Km/h) WATCH THIS!

As fas as I know and searhing exprience a MKV GTI's 0-60 Mp/h (0-100 Km/H) time is

Manual Trans: 7.2 sec
DSG: 6.8 sec
DSG with 18 inch whells : 6.7 sec

Watch this it reached to 60 Mp/h (100 KM/h) in 6 secondsss!!!! Awesome!!!

Is this GTI modified? Which modifications did they do? Engine to 250 HP ???

what gas is better then 93 oct that anybody uses? Besides racing fuel

My pal, sitting beside me clocked me to 6 sec easily ... Mine is original ...
It's all about reving, shifting and launching

Well haven taken into consideration human error, your friend probaly doesn't have perfect reaction time, and it's impossible to shift a manual faster than the DSG.

I'm not doubting though, I just want to know if it can really be done on a stock GTI.

Agreed.

But...I am pretty sure that the GTI performs better than 7.0 sec to 60 mph, stock ...
I am wipping cars that do 0-60 in 7 sec every day .. but... as you say it can be a poor shifter in the other car ... or a good one in mine

I meant that the friend that timed that guy to 0-60 in 6 sec probaly doesnt have perfect reaction time between starting the stopwatch and stopping it.

Did I miss something?

The C&D article claims a 0-60 time of 6.0sec, and a rolling start 5-60 time of 6.8. Is there any reason for the 5mph time warp, or is this Car And Driver's way of convincing readers to heed stop signs?

You can use octane booster or Cam 2 fuel

The slower 5-60 time is probably due to the low rpms the car would be at during launch. I don't think they would be revving the heck out of it. Whereas the 0-60 would probably include launch control/revving it and dropping the clutch. Just a guess though.
