The North American 2007 MY GTI will have launch control for the GTI with a DSG gearbox
I knew this prior to purchasing my '06. I sure wasn't going to wait around until 07 to get one. Maybe someone will develop an add on kit for us without them.

bit of a fake i think... not really a real time is it - not saying i don't belive i think these cars are able to do 5.5 seconds or less with the right mods + a different turbo easy! but that..... i'd wanna see a real time on a proper speed track.

you've got to keep in mind that car and driver is using some of the worlds best drivers to test their cars, most of the numbers you see are unrealistic under normal circumstances for normal drivers.

EDIT

And i think that car and driver used the pre-production model which included launch control.

probly no difference, but the quality of fuel on the other side of the atlantic is known to be better, therefore producing more power.
