Well, you're starting at $31,XXX. And it's an SUV, and it has a "Corvette-based 6.0L LS2 small block V8. It generates 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, taking TrailBlazer from zero to 60 in under six seconds. Based on GM testing." according to the Chevy site.... Sooooo ummmm what's the vs. for? These two aren't even comparable. If you want an SUV, and you like this, then get it. If you want a hatchback and you like the GTI then get that..... I don't even see how you can compare the two together though, apples to oranges situation.

I'm sorry. But the 'This VS That' comparisons have gotten way out of hand. This one takes the cake. Why don't we just compare the GTI to a Yugo. Do you think the GTI could take a Yugo in the 1/4 mile giving the Yugo a 1/4 mile lead? What do you guys think? :

Thalo, sorry, but I think you locked that topic too early. I realize that it was a ridiculous "vs." thread, but the opportunity for silly/stupid/funny replies was endless!
For instance, I would like to thank 3rdGTI for a fantastic visual of a Yugo with a 1/4 mile start on a 1/4 mile! ;D

As much as a like the ridiculous answers, I think there is some room to argue here. Yeah it goes from 0 - 60 in under 6 seconds, and has a Corvette engine, but why is that the only thing we aever talk about? How many people can they each hold, how easy are they to drive, how many wows per mile wil I get, is there a fanatical following for the Blazer, does it come with a "faster" to co-pilot??

GTI Vs Spruce Goose - GTI has better milage, no termites, and can fly further. Spruce Goose has more leg room, and can double as a house.
Who would win in a fight between Capt Kirk and Jim West (from Wild Wil West)?
