This is mine. Finally got it in July after 5 month wait from ordering it!! The pictures are rubbish because taken on my mobile phone. My GTI is filthy at the moment due to rubbish weather, but when it gets better I'll give it a good clean and take some quality pictures with some nice British scenery in the background!!! ;D

What I have yet to comprehend is why they're so damn expensive in England.

Seriously, 20k with an exchange rate of 1.75 is 35k in the states. I paid 22 grand for mine. And the DSG option alone is more than twice the price it is here.

That doesn't make any sense to me.

I know! What adds to my frustration is comparing the US standard spec to the UK spec. E.g. Xenon headlights would have cost me nearly ?1K!! When you start adding up all the optional extras on the GTI your best ordering an R32 in the UK.

The way mine's configured it comes out to $37K Canadian including tax and all the other random charges. That's just over $30K US. I think they're cheaper in the U.S. than anywhere.

Just picked up my new GTI up here in Alaska, cost me 31k us got the 6 speed auto with the paddle shifters, Traded in my 2003 Mercury Marauder.

Hey, I was wondering, anyone know how easily replaceable the plastic honeycomb grill is? I'm predicting at some point it will be hit with a small pebble at 80mph and might crack.

Also, how many people here have gotten rock guard for the front yet? I'm still debating whether it's worth the trouble.
