I wanted to go for that free trail but how does it all work? I was reading on the site that if you don't like it you don't have to go back or anything.

Do they like leave a expired chip in my car? or do they just change the settings?
I just want to try it out with out having problems in the future just because of this free trial. Like my dealer finding something out of that free trial.

Re: Free Trail on Apr chip

APR doesnt put in a chip, they do a reflash, and for the trial i believe ( call APR for confirmation ) they reflash it with a timer that counts down a few hours then goes back to factory settings.

So you basically get a temporary reflash, drive around and see if you like it, then when the timer runs out, your car is as it was before!

That right Dragon?

I went for the REVO trial and that is exactly what it did...mine lasted 5 hours, I am pretty sure APR does it for that amount of time too

What would happen if the trial expired while you were driving? I would be kind of scared to have ecu setting changed while im driving.

Yep- same goes for Revo.

I wonder if you set your clock back two hours if it would last longer?:p

Update question.
When the car's setting go back to stock after the 5 hour timelimit, is it possible that they can change your stock settings as well?
For example, your stock settings are actually weaker then before?
Maybe the wastegate opens sooner then before. In response it urges you to go get the car chiped?

The car probably resets all settings. It's like disconnecting your battery for 15 mins and reconnecting it. The car has to relearn your driving style and will readapt to whatever it may be. Just give it a couple days.

i heard that the trail will run forever if u never turn ur car off. But once the car is off, and u try to restart it checks the time again and then it decides whether to reset the ecu
