I figure this might be a good support group/forum!

I recently got my first scratch on the paint. I was leaving from parallel parking, and my mind was completely elsewhere (long day at work). So, of course, I put it in reverse and back full force into the car behind me. I get out to make sure everything is OK with both cars (responsible citizen that I am), and see the result. Car behind me has a front license plate with those fully exposed screws on the top (there oughta be a law!).

So now I have two well formed phillips head plus marks in my rear bumper. Ohhhh, the pain. No one would notice, but the last time I washed it, they were just staring at me saying, "learn to park, buddy."

Anyone else felt the pain? Are you planning on touch-up? I almost want to leave them so I won't feel bad the next time someone does it to me when I'm not there...

Mines not quite as painful as yours, but some slackjaw found it necessary to park to close to me and put a ding in my rear passenger side fender. Its small and quite unnoticeable, but, as anal as I am about car maintenance and appearance it sticks out to me like a turd in a punch bowl.

I knew I might draw some flack, but man, that is no good. Really sorry to see that, and I hope you recovered OK. Let us know how the insurance/fix process goes.

I know exactly the spot your talking about.. my passenger side door has the same injury but I have no clue when and where. I also have a tiny dent on both doors in about the same place. I brought it to the dealers attention and they said it might have been from the foam square that is on the plastic wrapping on the car when the transport it. They guy said that those little "unnoticeable" dents are pretty comon. I checked my boys Fast and his has them too.. The dealer said they can fix it at no cost but they need to have several cars in order to call the dent removal people to come out to the dealer. For now I am on stand-by to get the dents removed...

As far as the chip... I ordered touch up oaint but takes about 14 days to arrive at the dealer. (sucks!!)

Mine could be worse, but I have 2 scrapes on my front driver's side fender. I've never been a big fan of parallel parking, because my last car was a Suburban, and those things aren't nimble for shit. Anyways, as I was backing in, I traded paint with my brother's car, which was lucky cause he could give a crap about his car. It's kinda noticable, so I plan to go down to the VW dealership and buy a little bottle of Candy White touchup paint.

But does it matter how deep the scratches are in order to use the touchup paint? Because the bigger of the 2 scratches goes down to the plastic on the bumper, and I'm freaking out.

So does the touch up paint stand out since there would be a lack of a clear coat on it? i was thinking about repainting it. Its kinda dumb to paint a strip which is meant to flex and absorb the impact of your door or someone elses. Paint doesnt flex well lol. I hate my dealership. Going through alot of BS with them. would the dealership send the paint directly to an address you think? if so i would order from one of the dealerships in phoenix.

i am getting the wheels balanced tomorrow and if that doesnt work then i was told the wheel could possibly be bent so i have to have it checked out.

I couldn't live with myself if I'd done that.

Well back in late April/early May, a pickup truck carrying rubble in front of me had a small pebble make a 1~2mm wide scratch on my hood.

AND LAST NIGHT MY FRIGGIN REAR-RIGHT TIRE GOT PUNCTURED. BY THESE FRIGGIN TWEEZERS.

.

Running on that stupid spare now... and I don't know if my warranty covers damage like this

Is everyone running on the same Continentals? Can someone point me in the direction of a cheap replacement?
