Absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't imagine paying that much for a silly toy. On the other hand, I can't wait to get mine in the mail, if it is indeed coming.

We have ours in the main office area. You can change the tails and the legs and arms move. Its got a good weight to it too. Def. a cool "toy"

Jeez, almost $400 for a doll? I know the thing is wicked, but I'm not sure if I'd pay that much for it. I'll buy an XBOX 360 instead

How do the dealers get them, anyway? Are they given to buyers?

Well...... Not just $ 400, One sold for over $600. the other day. But looks like the prices are now dropping to about $200. 600 were shipped out to dealers initially to show the dealers what the promotion was all about. Anyone who purchases a 2006 gti will get a FAST. I'm sure they will soon be sold also in the parts dept. for around $19.99. The original 600 are not numbered and do not have any distiguishing characteristics from the ones being sent to gti customers. So 1 of 600 really doesn't mean anything. Be aware if you decide to bid on one of the ones on ebay.

I can't believe people are paying soo much for one of those Fast guys. I didn't even know they exsited until I found out they were on eBay, and thats becasue I couldn't find them on the VW site. ;D

HAHAHAHAHA! People are so stupid. I thought about getting one but if they're going to be everywhere whats the point? I wonder if anybody realizes they're going to be cheap someday... They probably think they're investing in an icon that they can sell 20 years down the line when the GTI is a classic

When my Fast arrives in the mail, it will have cost me alot more than $600. I paid $25k for it, but ot came with a really cool car for free.

Is that how they're getting them out, via mail? I asked my salesman and he said he'd look into, but I haven't heard back yet. I signed all my paperwork on wednesday, though, so I'll keep my eye out for it.

I'm going on pure hearsay and speculation. I didn't even know that the fast existed when I got my car. I have heard of people getting them though. Aparently they have begun being shipped from the Michigan area and are working there way outward. If this is the case I am expecting mine to arrive on Mon or Tue. I'll keep you posted!! ;D
