I bought my GTI a few months back and got the DVD Nav option. First of all if your looking to buy a GTI don't get this option unless you have 0 sense of direction and get lost and find your self in seedy areas of the city by weird crack houses in the middle of the night. None of the players (Dash or Center Console) will play mp3 cds. Any how i asked all the people at the dealer ship and none of them know their heads from their A**. The question is that when you are playing a cd from the center console changer they list discs one through 6 and then an aux. Where in the heck is this located and what type of connection is it. I want desperatly to use my Ipod with this but i don't want to lose my changer either. Any ideas?

get an IPOD air port.... tune your radio in tot e freQ of the Iport and you listen to your Ipod over radio signals.

other option pull the stereo out get a set of cables red+ white phono to headphone jack... pop them in the back put the headphone socket into your ipod and Tadaa... only problem is you have to mess with ipod when driving...

i'd ditch the changer and get the Ipod adapter VW do which literally drops in where your 6 cd changer is.

why have CD's when you have Ipod? ???

I hear that the control over the ipod sucks with the changer, i would actually rather pull the deck and use a pair of stereo to mini cables. No one could confirm for me that there is in fact an input on the back of the dvd nav like this. I also don't have any VW tools. I've never pulled one of the dvd nav decks before and i didn't want to screw with it if i were likely to screw something up. Of course the dealer is telling me that if i do it that i will void the warrenty. Oh well but if i can do it without them telling that would be even better. I have an ITrip but it doesn't work for crap in my car I also have a 12V cradle and fm transmitter but it has to sit in the 12V socket which makes 6th gear impossible to get in and that would make my fast very unhappy. :-[
