As some of you know, I've tried to stay away from direct sponsors. They always try to obligate you and make you change things to how they want things. (i.e. - no links to other companys, censorship, etc.) That's why I normally just run a few ads by google, they help pay for the hosting, extra bandwidth etc.

We are getting bigger and bandwidth, security, programming and other hosting costs have gone up. So I'm asking for your donations to help us fix a few things that need fixing, increase security and to help us get the garage and a few other features running.

This is on a completely voluntary basis.

I've added a Donation button on the home page of the forums for a few days so you can donate any amount you'd like.

Your donations will go to increasing security, uptime, adding a few new features and paying an experienced php programmer to debug a few things in the forums.

If you'd like to help us, just click the donation button on the home page. It will allow you to donate via paypal.

ps. FYI, my real name is Ken Nix, as you'll see on the paypal donation page. The name Fast Freddie is in memory to my older brother who was killed by a drunk driver when he was eleven years old.

Are there options other than Paypal? I know it's not practical to accept credit/debit cards, but is there a PO Box or something I could maybe send a check or money order to?

The paypal link allows non-paypalers to pay with credit card.

I've wanted to sign up for paypal for years, but never can because they ask for bank account info and I refuse to let them direct debit my account. Working for a bank I've experienced too many of other people's direct debit horror stories.

Thanks JT, It really helps. I really appreciate the donation, every dollar helps. Paying for hosting, programmers, etc. can get spendy. A forum is definitely not a money making business. lol I guess it could be for huge forums like vortex, but we just make enough off of ads to pay about a third of the costs each month.

hey man i would love to help out but i just can not afford it. i just got my fast 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago i got married. so the money is tighter than a vergin. but if it helps i think that the vortex forum is not as good as this i am on there too and just do not like it. i think that this is more friendly and help full and easy to use after i learned that you so not use a post to find sites you just got to look..
