when i test drove the GTI i saw something in the middle of the cluster that i've seen before so i didnt pay it any mind untill my bro who work there at the time showed me what it was. i blowen away ;D . what i want to know is how does if ever does any body use it and how? >

I use it all the time. Check fuel consumption, MPG, change the stations on the sat./radio/cds. There are a bunch of other pretty cool functions. I was hoping there would be a way to have my "fast" pop out of the rear hatch and give the finger to approaching neons/Si's/Mini's....evidently this option is not yet available.

You need to have the Vag-Com for this feature. The code is out there somewhere. >

Don't most vehicles made in the last 7 or 8 years have something like this either on the dash or the overhead console?

Most newer cars I've been in have had some sort of trip computer, but the VW Info System is the first I've actually drive with so much functionality. I constantly use the Audio page to avoid having to reach "so far" across the console to skip tracks. I also use the MPG and miles remaining functions on the MFD a lot. It's nice to have that information, as well as settings, right at your fingertips.
