So i was perousing through the new Car and Driver to check out the new Dodge SRT-4, which btw is hideous, the neon version is soo sexy.... neway, about 7 pages in BMW is advertising for the new M6...which btw is a BEAST! V-10, 507hp.... but at the bottom heres what it says...

"The BMW M6. The New Fast. Fast isnt the massive 507 hp V-10 with an unprecedented distribution. Fast, rather, is the harmony of all these things. Fast is the 8,250 redline. Fast isnt the 14inch perforated disk brakes. It isnt the world's first callobration of power and poise. And it isnt measured in just seconds. 7-speed sequential gear box (SMG), the carbon-fiber roof or the near-perfect 50/50 weight. It's measured in feel. Welcome to the new Fast. Welcome to the new M6."

It's the battle of the acronym's... Who will win?

Let me know what you do to your GTI to kick the ass of the M5/M6. I haven't driven it yet but I did drive the previous model M5 with the 400hp V8. This engine was also in the Z8 which was fun to drive since it was so much lighter than the M5 and a convertible.

but the money is not worth it.You can get a 2006 z06 vette that runs faster and can take a better turn then the bmw if not compete for only 50g
Yes but in the end the driver of the M5/M6 will beat you because his wallet is much lighter than the Corvette/Viper. I do agree though bang for a the buck the Z06 is the way to go. But if I spent some serious time on country roads or the track I would much rather have the Bimmer with all the traction controls and smoooooooth reving V-10.
