Many ask what this is.
Anti-slip regulation (ASR): On front wheel drive vehicles, ASR prevents the front wheels from spinning when the vehicle is accelerated. It reduces the torque output of the engine. The ABS Wheel Speed Sensors are used to detect wheel slip. When slip under acceleration is detected, the Engine Control Module retards the ignition timing to reduce engine output. ASR operates across the entire speed range of the vehicle.
