Which would you choose and why? I know of a place in North Hollywood that is a certified ABT sales partner or there are myriad of closer shops who offer the APR upgrade. Thanks.

I would choose APR (or Unitronic, GIAC, or Revo) because they've been in the 'chip tuning' game for a long time. ABT has been around for forever offering various cosmetic and performance hardware, but I had no idea they even did software. Go with somebody with a long record of success. Your ECU isn't something you want to start experimenting with new 'technology' on.
