Anyone in Maryland area??????

im in baltimore, aint gotta GTI but still, im looking into gettin one soon!

its not so much what i "need to know" its just that i am 17, a senior in high school, work on top of that, i make more than enough money to afford this car but im waiting to see what i do after high school with college cause more than likely im going to pay for my own college, and wouldnt be able to pay for school, car, and insurance at the same time.

exactly what i plan on doing i mean i love the body style of the MKV over any of the other ones, but who knows what VW will put out next, my other option was to buy a Dodge SRT-4 but i know alot of people with them and they sacrafice everything for speed, the bac window are not power windows not confortable to drive (imho) and overall the GTI is just more of what i want

oh i know damn well that SRT-4's take to mods very well, its also thef act that aroun my area there are tons of them, 3 of the people where i work alone have them, then the car meet i go to there is at least 15-20 of them, so alot o people i now have them and i know what they are capable of its the fact of the matter that for the speed and power they sacrafice alot of things the GTI has

Yea the Neon SRT can handle faily well, not the best, but ill give it credit, and i wouldnt underestimate the Calier just yet because of the AWD rumors going around about it and its 300HP and somewhere around 260ft/lbs stock. I mean i may be young at only 17 years old, but ive grown up around cars my neighboorhood alone has ts share with 2-3 SRT-4's, a 12-second Eagle Talon TSI, Lancer Evo VIII, a low 12 high 11-second Mustang GT, a few 240SX's. With that ind of influence in my area ive grown up round fast cars and know a thing or two about cars

what part of maryland is everyone from here?

well i for one am in the Baltimore area of Maryland and was curious is anyone around here was close, i saw a Red GTI riding on I-95 South this afternoon, but i dunno if he is on this site or not
