Hey guys, sorry for the semi-long post in advance!

I ended up buying my 2009 VW GTI DSG @ 64K miles back on 11/12/17.
2 weeks later I ended up getting misfires from cylinder 2 so I decided to change the spark plugs and some small things as well as a full car diagnostics at pep boys(in case there were other troubles). Months later I'd say around Mid-Feburary I had small problems with my DSG such as when parking or switching gears when the car isn't moving you could hear the gears somewhat gearing soft barely making a noise at all at first, there was no problem with driving whatsoever and I mean NONE when I raced or was on the highway or doing quick 0-60 or 10-80 pulls there was no problem what so ever and in sport or "Drive+-" mode you can see the gears going through like butter it was perfect only problem was when the car was stopping.
Fast forward to April the gearing did get worse as it sounded harder and the thump got louder, one time when putting the car in reverse it didn't engage but WASN'T doing the "FLASHING PRNDS OF DEATH", I ended up turning off and on the car and no problems occurred what so ever. It drove perfectly again and I took the car to get coded right after and got U0100: Lost communication with ECM/PCM A and was told it was ok.
In Mid-May the car was driving perfect and when parking looked down to see I had a check engine light since the car was driving so well I knew it had to be a sensor. After work I took the car back to Autozone got it coded and of course, it was the "coolant sensor".
1 week later the check engine light went away.
On June 1st while with my girlfriend when we went to put gas, the car was in drive with my foot on the brake in the space and I ended up quickly putting it into reverse to go into the space correctly and I ended up getting the "FLASHING PRNDS OF DEATH" and the car was only revving, I quickly turned off the car and back on and it was like nothing happened whatsoever,it drove perfectly again and on the way home after dropping my GF I gunned to testit from 20-60 and nothing happened the car was shifting as if it was brand new.
On June 3rd it happened again similar scenario. When going to work I parked my car and put it into reverse and it had the "FLASHING PRNDS OF DEATH" again. I quickly shut off the car and told my girlfriend about the incident and if she can ask her brother and he said it seemed I needed a new clutch pack but I should just take it to Volkswagen and set up the appointment today as I should have a warranty since I could finally afford services.
To my amazement, my car had a check engine light yesterday and I ended up going to get it coded again this time as:
P0171(System Too Lean)
P2015(Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor)
P2181(Cooling system Performance)
I was told it could be the PCV valve or intake manifold and was glad I was going in today.
When I arrived they took the car after I explained and less then 5 minutes later (decided to wait with my GF as we had no ride) I get a call from the dealer of them wanting to meet me as they're interested in my car for a bit higher then what its worth in exchange to get a new 2018 7.5 GTI, I meet them and told them I couldn't but the guy was nice enough and ended up letting me test drive it for a feel.
After waiting 2 hours they called me back, I ended up crying after seeing they quoted my car at $7.8k for repairs and I asked what's exactly wrong and they told me my fuel pump, water pump, and timing belt went bad and my radiator fan was broken(I felt skeptical at this point as this morning I check both the ac and radiator fan and it was working ok) he ended up telling me my whole transmission needed to probably be replaced and if I leave with the car I void my warranty, they told me I still have a warranty on the intake manifold and if I wanted them to do that atleast, I agreed since it was covered and how I'll get the invoices and proof my DSG was flushed so I can get the transmission replaced.

They told me my Mk5 GTi doesn't have a warranty on the water pump, timing chain tensioner, the DSG, however, said they needed a 40k fluid flush that was denied by the customer (RIP ME) they can only find the intake manifold. They still have the car cause they said if I drive it off the lot they would call my warranty off. I was kinda skeptical cause it is at 68k and not covered? Seemed odd to me. I called the dealers I bought it from and told me the car needs clutch packs or dsg fluid change and if it does need a new trans. they will help repair it. Do you know how I can check a VIN for open recalls?

When I took the car in they told me the intake manifold was the only thing that can be covered by the warranty he knows up that pulled up but for the DSG I needed invoices on the DSG flush at 40k to my amazement they declined it (RIP ME), they told me it was changed later on but this may affect the warranty. The car drives incredibly smooth I mean 0 problems when shifting gears when driving, only PROBLEMS when switching between PRNDS that it no 1st-second gear or etc. I was told by the dealer I bought it from it may need new clutch packs, DSG flush and/or mech unit but since it was only when driving it won't be as bad, he apologized and told me if it is that bad bring the car over and he will do the labor for free and only pay for parts. Not sure at this point what to do what do you suggest I don't think Volkswagen will help on the Trans but need any advice I can get.
