Is it just me or does the air conditioning system on the Mk V a little weak? It has been hot here the last couple of days and the air just didnt seem that good.

Mine seems pretty cold but it all has to do with the area your in

If its really hot and humid where you live than it harder for the AC to get the mositure out of the air
but if its a fairly dry area like Arizona then it works like a charm

It does feel cold enough but the air flow seems weak .

I have the dual climate control and when I have it at the lowest temp and the fan as high it goes it kinda does seem a little weak but still ok

when i bought my fast in tucson AZ it was 106 out and the ac was struggling to keep it from being too hot in the car. it did its job just took forever. i got stock tint on it so that helped a lil.

actually all new cars have weaker a/c units than years ago. compressors are designed smaller, lighter and more efficent to get better mpg than cool. Yea they still cool okay, but no where near when we used freon.

A/C is big with me, cause I like temperature to be around 60 degrees.... but this car does so much better than my last car.... a 1993 Chevy Suburban.

Damn that thing sucked at cooling, cause it had to pump out air to every part of the entire massive car.

Of all German cars I have recently owned (Cayenne/Boxster/c320)...The one and only thing that seems to be an issue is the AC....Maybe because in Germany they dont need the AC that much?? Anyway, they AC units dont seem to be very LINEAR ...I can never seem to get the air to blow directly where I need it to ...Anyway, the pros out-way the cons so I am HAPPY and wont own anything but German vehicles!

I wish they had an option where the inside temperature of the car changes without direct air vents on you, cause that can get old real fast.

Here's a tip to improve airflow: close the rear air vents. If you have passengers in the rear seat complaining of lack of A/C or ability to open window tell em to shut their yaps. What are they gonna do? They have no oh shit handles to hold on to. You're in control.

I guess if it doesn't cool down quick enough for me i'll just open the windows and see how fast I can get my Fast !
