hey everyone,
leaving the car dealer and i was just checking out the features on my brand new gti when i came across the Vehicle Status on the menu - on the steering wheel and it said AIRBAG FAULT!...... soo i had to take it back and they gave me a rental till tomorrow i hoppppeeee..... hope it's sumthing stupid or simple ... i really wannt it back nowww!!!!!

any of you guys come across anything like this???? ???

Oh good... there's actually a light that tells you if there's something wrong with the airbags? I was kinda worried because since the day I bought the car the "air bag not active" (or whatever) light hasn't ever gone on when the passenger seat seatbelt is unbuckled.

The "Pass. Air Bag Off" stays on until 70lbs is in the passenger seat. Pretty cool feature.

Mine is always off. I'm wondering if that means the air bag is always active. I hope so.

ye i had this problem wth my gti, about 1000-2000 km into owning the airbag fault came on.. it was just some wiring problems under the driver seat they fixed it right when i brought i tback but it took them forever still love my fast
