i was driving home the other night when shifting from 4th to 5th gears, and my can stopped. the engine that is. i gave it a little gas but all i get is a whirling noise. i pull off the side of the road and turn the car off. my first thought is the timing belt. i try to start it again and just the whirling noise. i waited for hours for the tow truck to arrive and my battery died due to the hazard lights. any idea or suggestions with what may be my issue?
