    A friend of mine picked up a 91 MKII GTI the other day without having me go with him. The car has a couple electrical issues, the turn signals don't work both in the cluster and the exterior. Also his speedometer doesn't work. I am unfamiliar with the GTI's and was wondering if any of you savvy...

    Is there any reason why I couldn't swap my MKIII instrument cluster with one from a regular Golf? They appear to be exactly the same size, indications, etc. with the black background, not white like my 97 GTI? Rebuilding one is $100.
