    i have a boosted 2001 vr6 and i'm looking to replace my dv with a bov. i was looking maybe into the greddy type s. i like the sound on the greddy type s the best and i hear they're nice. did i hear right?

    A friend got a used 2006 GTI MT with a BOV. Is there any reason a BOV would be put in this car and have nothing else done to it? I'm not familiar with the GTI but I am thinking the car's ECU was modded(or the equivalent) and a new BOV was installed to accommodate the extra boost. Thoughts...
