    my mark 5 has had an odd issue for some time now. my intake flap motor is bad i know that(stuck open) but i heard thats no big isssue. i get the CEL code for that every now and then. also when going WOT i will randomly get misfires, sometimes bad sometimes not so bad and sometimes accels smooth...

    I just purchased my first car! It's a 2002 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T. It has bunches of upgrades in it so I won't have to ever put anything in it.... But it doesn't have a catalytic converter which causes the engine light to come on. I had my mechanic check it out and he said everything was in perfect...
